The rebellious spirit of Punk Rock has intrinsically been a part of protest culture, in a time where our community is being attacked by the establishment it is important to remember that art is a powerful outlet to express our social commentary. Quiet Please is proud to present War-Sound & Fury-Perilous, work by LA based artist Richard Sanchez. @richardskaterock
Join us on July 19th to dive into Richard’s ball point pen drawings, like punk genre his work gives a sense of urgency and is unapologetic. Richard has been rocking the ball point pen scene since 1998, his work has been featured on album covers, skate decks, magazines, books, t-shirts to name a few.
To celebrate the opening of this exhibition Quiet Please has partnered with Sounds of Music @soundsofmusicela to host a live punk show. Richard is inspired by head banging, slam dancing, flying through the air, unconventional experiences and how best to honor him by giving the audience a full experience. We are also committed to honoring the community by hosting a fund drive for families impacted by ICE raids, we will have information available on July 19th of how you can contribute.
